Silversea Cruises will raise the curtain on six new theatrical performances over the coming months. Developed in partnership with Luna Rossa Productions, the shows supplement the current entertainment lineup and feature high-quality musical tracks, lively costumes, evocative set designs and elaborate visual effects.

The performances will spotlight the talents of Silversea's corps of vocalists.

Five of the new shows will each be distinct to one ship, while 'Grande Amore' will appear fleetwide. This opera-themed production features musical tracks composed exclusively for Silversea by renowned conductor and arranger Richard Balcombe, and recorded by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

'The King on Strings' provides orchestral interpretations of such Elvis Presley classics as ‘It's Now or Never,’ ‘Blue Suede Shoes' and ‘Can't Help Falling in Love.' This will premiere on Silver Whisper's Dec. 20 Fort Lauderdale to San Francisco voyage.

'Silver, Platinum, Gold,' to debut aboard Silver Shadow in the Far East on Feb. 1, salutes Motown, with a live DJ and feel-good, nostalgic hits from artists including Marvin Gaye, The Temptations and The Supremes.

Iconic hits

'Rhapsody in Rock' honors Queen, one of the most popular rock bands of the '70s. Launching aboard Silver Muse's Far East sailings starting March 8, this hard rock-inspired production has iconic hits like ‘We Are the Champions,’ ‘We Will Rock You’ and ‘Bohemian Rhapsody.’

'Lyrically Yours' will take to the stage aboard Silver Spirit's April 15 Mediterranean cruise. The eclectic show, inspired by Rolling Stone magazine's list of the greatest songwriters of all time, showcases artists like John Lennon and Paul McCartney, Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan to Abba and James Taylor.

'Jersey Beats' features hits of The Four Seasons, the '60s pop immortalized in the Tony Award-winning musical 'Jersey Boys' and the Hollywood movie of the same name. Songs include ‘Can't Take My Eyes Off You,’ ‘Sherry,’ ‘Walk Like a Man’ and ‘Big Girls Don't Cry.' The show will debut aboard the May 30 sailing of Silver Wind in Northern Europe.
